INVASIVE PLANTS WORKDAYS
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Every third Saturday of each month, you can join a crew of volunteers and KCMO Parks Department leaders to clear out the invasive plants from Marlborough Park. Stay in touch with Sarah Sommerkamp for updates if the weather looks cold or rainy. sarah@wearemarlborough.org
PAST EVENTS
In October there were three events in Marlborough Park to get residents involved in the park planning process:
On October 1st residents came together for hiking with iNaturalist. At this event, we used the free iNaturalist phone app to identify plant species and learn about natural resources in the park.
On October 8th and December 17, residents and park ambassadors worked together to cut back invasive honeysuckle in the park.
On October 20th the Plan team hosted a community workshop to work through plans and priorities for Marlborough Park. Check out the notes from that community conversation below:
On February 16th the Planning team hosted a community Open House to get feedback on designs for the Park. With cost estimates and "Park Bucks" in hand community members weighed in on phasing of improvements. If you could not be there, please take the online survey to provide your feedback:
